How To Open A Cloudbeds Account?
To open an account on Cloudbeds, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Cloudbeds Marketplace app page.
- Click on "Connect App". This will redirect to the Authorization page.
- Click on "Approve" to initiate the Authentication flow.
- After the authentication is completed, an API key or access token is retrieved.
- Use the userinfo to see the details of the user that approved the connection.
- With the API key or access token, poll getHotelDetails to see the details of the property account.
- Use getHotels to see details of accounts that belong to a group.
- Use getUsers to see all users in the Cloudbeds account.
- The user is then presented with the option to proceed to create a new account or log into an existing account.
- If the user chooses to create a new account, check the value in the response field "propertyID" against the Cloudbeds Property IDs (PIDs) already associated with accounts in the system.
- If the Cloudbeds PID matches, then the API session is linked to the existing account in the system.
- If the PID does not match, then a new account is created using the full details included in getHotelDetails and the session is linked to that.
- The user should have the ability to access their username and reset the password for the account.

Cloudbeds Return Policy?
At Cloudbeds, the return policy is as follows:
- Terminals can be returned within 14 days of the order date. However, this only applies to the BBPOS WisePOS E terminal. Other terminal types cannot be returned.
- When returning a terminal, it is necessary to include all products, cords, cables, and other parts. The items do not need to be shipped in their original packaging.
- Once the hardware team receives the returned terminal, the terminal fee will be removed from the account.
In terms of warranty exchanges, Cloudbeds offers a warranty exchange in the event a device is damaged out of the box or becomes defective (i.e., screen frozen, won’t turn on) within 12 months of the shipment date. Depending on the reason for the damage, you may qualify for a warranty exchange. However, the warranty does not cover stolen items. In such cases, you may be subject to a replacement fee.
